Four WMC states have enacted school requirements. Massachusetts has active legislation that would establish a statewide public-school requirement but is not yet current law.
A statewide school requirement is not yet enacted. S.2640 passed the Senate 39–0 in October 2025 and remains under House consideration; it would require free disposable menstrual products in public elementary and secondary schools.
